University of Applied Sciences and Arts

Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology offers eductional courses for engineers with exceedingly good international career opportunities. For that purpose it cooperates closely with industrial companies and research establishments.

The courses of study offered at the Faculty of Resource Management are quite unique within Germany by virtue of their orientation towards practice as well as their innovative and multidisciplinary approach. The graduates are “mature personalities” with excellent integrated management skills in ecology, economics and engineering as well as people skills.
The Private University of Applied Sciences (PFH) offers courses of study in Management, Innovation and Technology. It is located closely to the city center.

PFH Private Hochschule Göttingen

The PFH Private University of Applied Sciences Göttingen was recognized by the Ministry of Science and Culture of Lower Saxony in 1995 and is thus the oldest private, state-recognized university in Lower Saxony.
As of January 2020, 3,800 students are enrolled in one of 27 degree programs in the fields of management, engineering, psychology and business psychology, business law and healthcare technology. They study either at one of the campus locations in Göttingen or Stade or at one of the 14 distance learning centres throughout Germany and Austria. All courses of study combine a consistent practical orientation, their pronounced internationality and the development of innovative courses. In particular, the technology study courses Composites and Orthobionics form an interface to the activities of Measurement Valley in the field of training young specialists.

Through its board of trustees and its more than 500 partner companies, the university has excellent connections to industry throughout Germany. Especially in the regions of Göttingen and Stade PFH is embedded in a largely medium-sized business environment.

Student's Laboratories

Out of the Classroom - Into the lab!

is the theme that invites students and teachers to experiment away from school. Two laboratories offer a wide range of courses and activities. The DLR_School_Lab of the German Aerospace center offers experiments around the physics of flight.

Besides visiting DLR_School_Lab, students living nearby have the opportunity to participate in a group which meets regularly to construct model aircraft. Under the leadership of experts, participants can build and then fly their own models. DLR_School_Lab Goettingen offers advanced courses for teachers, so ideas can be shared about how to give stimulating lessons, and so that the knowledge transfer from the world of research to the classroom can be optimized

The XLAB is located in the center of the natural sciences campus and offers courses in all natural sciences.

Childcare

Day- and childcare facilities or Kindergardens - Goettingen has numerous possibilities on offer.
