3rd Stop Lichtenberg Monument

As the most famous and most versatile inhabitant of Goettingen, Georg Christoph Lichtenberg has various monuments set in his honor. One of which is the only one standing in close proximity to the town’s major landmark, the Gaenseliesel fountain.
The monument is a sugarcoated depiction of the scientist – his hump was much larger than shown.

The statue explicitly refers to Lichtenberg’s status in physics by showing the two kinds of (electric) voltage named plus and minus by him.
