Announcement of the PSP Course 2017

Announcement of the seventh PSP course to be held in Goettingen, Germany, from February 27 to March 3, 2017, organised by DLR in cooperation with Tohoku University, University of Hohenheim, ONERA, BAE Systems, and National Research Council Canada.

The Pressure Sensitive Paint (PSP) technique is a non-intrusive optical pressure measurement technique, that provides spatial pressure distributions on surfaces of e.g. wind tunnel models. It is an excellent tool for observation of spatial structures and/or rapid temporal or spatial changes of aerodynamic phenomena. The Temperature Sensitive Paint (TSP) measurement technique, which provides spatial temperature distributions on surfaces is part of the course too.

This course will mainly concentrate on both industrial measurement techniques as well as aspects of the theory of PSP/TSP relevant to applications. In addition to the lectures, participants will have the opportunity to carry out experiments by themselves during practical sessions on the course.

Due to positive feedback from the participants of last courses, this time we plan to perform additional wind tunnel experiments within the practical sessions.

Further information about the course can be obtained from the Web page http://pspcourse.dlr.de, on which also online application can be done, or from
